Hyderabad, Jan 16 (IEBusiness) Television and electronics maker, Super Plastronics Private Limited (SPPL), a Kodak brand licensee, is planning to set up a manufacturing facility for Kodak LED TV in South with an initial capacity of 1.5 lakh units per annum.
Addressing a press conference after launching 43-inch Kodak 4K 43UHDX Smart LED TV here on Wednesday, SPPL CEO and Director Mr Avneet Singh Marwah said the Company have three manufacturing plants in the country – Noida – Una ( HP) and Jammu while the fourth plant which was completely automated ,will come up in either AP, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Without disclosing the cost of the proposed facility, he said the Company’s Revenue is expected to be Rs 500 crore in 2018-19 as against Rs 280 crore in 2017-18, Mr Avneet said, of the total revenue, 70 per cent revenue comes from online business.
The Company’s current market share in overall TV segment was 4 per cent and expected to grew to 8 per cent by 2022, he said we plan to sale 2 lakh TV units in the current financial year and take it to 3.5 lakhs units by 2019-20.
The 43-inch UHDX Smart TV, equipped with intelligent features, will be exclusively available on Flipkart from January 20 at an attractive price of Rs 23,999, the CEO said, adding that we had earlier launched 55-inch and 50-inch in the same segment, he informed.
Except TV glass, imported from other countries, all parts are being produced at our manufacturing plants under make in India and KODAK HD Led TVS has been one of the most affordable category brands in the country , Mr Avneet claimed.
