Chennai, Nov 1 (IENews) South Indian actor, producer and musician Siddharth Suryanarayan to take to twitter to take potshots at India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the inauguration of the Statue of Unity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
He criticised the decision of the Indian government to waste Rs 3000 on a statue which he termed as an election gimmick and that money could be spent on farmers.
He called the ‘Statue of Unity’ a statue of ‘Modi’ in disguise.
Arguably the most wasteful & disrespectful way to celebrate one of India's greatest leaders will be unveiled today in #Gujarat. #SardarPatel has been reduced to an election gimmick by #BJP. #Sardar and our farmers deserve better! This is a statue of #Modi in disguise. Rs. 3000cr!

But here is the irony and hypocrisy of the actor.
In a tweet on August 7, 2018, he moots the setting up of a memorial at the Marina in China for Tamil Nadu leader Karunanidhi.
He states that this not a time to play petty politics and give Kalaignar his place.
Actor Siddharth it seems has different yardsticks of measurements on different politicians and political situations.
