Panjim, Oct 30 (IENews) The chief minister of Goa, Manohar Parrikar has called for a Cabinet meeting tomorrow at his residence in Dona Paula.
Opposition leaders in the Congress have started a campaign to declare Manohar Parrikar dead.
This is the first cabinet meeting since August 2018.
Parrikar is suffering from pancreatic cancer and is undergoing treatment for the illness.
His health has been a major talking point in the Goa political circle for the last several months.
Some senior BJP leaders in connivance with certain alliance partners tried to replace Parrikar due to his ill-health but BJP High Command remained adamant on Parrikar’s continuance as Goa’s chief minister.
Parrikar is the glue that keeps the alliance parties together in the current coalition government.
