Nirav Modi’s global properties worth Rs 637 crore attached by ED

New Delhi, Oct 1(IENews) The Enforcement Directorate(ED) has attached properties worth Rs 637 crore of fugitive Nirav Modi in India and four foreign locations in four other nations, sources said on Monday.

Assets including immovable properties in New York, an apartment in Mumbai, diamond jewellery and five accounts in overseas banks have been seized by the ED, the sources said to IndianExpose.

In the recent past the ED has been constantly working in close coordination with overseas agencies to identify Modi’s assets abroad.

Nirav Modi is wanted in a bank fraud in which fake guarantees in the name of the state-run Punjab National Bank (PNB) were used to extract overseas loans.
