Messi should quit Argentina, says Diego Maradona

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Legendary Argentine footballer Diego Maradona has said that his national skipper Lionel Messi to retire from international games, citing that he is being blamed for everything.

The 31-year-old Argentine star last featured in World Cup, where Argentina lost to France 4-3 in pre- quarterfinals.

On being asked by an Argentine newspaper, what he would say to Messi? Maradona, a 1986 World Cup winning team captain, said, “Don’t come anymore.”

”The under-15s lose and it’s Messi’s fault. The fixture in Argentina puts Racing against Boca and Messi is to blame. It’s always his fault”, he told the newspaper.

In 2016, 2014 World Cup Golden ball winner, quit international game after loosing to Chile in Copa America Final. But a couple of months latter, he changed his decision and returned to his national side.
