New Delhi, Mar 3 (IECurrentAffairs) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Railways Minister Piyush Goyal will on Sunday dedicate various Railway facilities, including Parel Suburban Terminus at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai.
They will first inaugurate Parel Suburban Terminus which will include Terminus line along with double dis-charge platforms, One new platform 1 (Down slow) & 2 (Terminus line), Widening of existing platform 2A (Terminus line) & 3 (UP slow), Flooring and Cover over platform at both platforms among other things, an official statement from Railways here said.
This facility will result in decongestion and quicker dispersal of passengers. Large number of patients who come to city for medical treatment in Parel, service class people working in corporate business centres and commercial hubs, flower market vendors and commuters of both Central and Western Railway will be benefitted being ajunction point.
Consequent to inauguration of Parel suburban terminus, it has been decided that, 32 slow service originating, terminating from or at Dadar will be extended to Parel New Suburban Terminus with effect from March 4.
Mr Fadnavis and Mr Goyal will also flag-off Inaugural Run of Suburban EMU Train from Parel Terminus.
