Korea Open 2018: Saina crashes out of the tournament

Seoul, Sep 29 (IESports) India’s ace shuttler crashed out of the Korea Open and with her loss Indian hopes at this tournament.

She lost to Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara 21-15, 15-21, 22-20 in the quarterfinal of the tournament today.

In a edge of the seat match, Okuhara came back from 16-20 down to win the game (22-20) to play top seed Akane Yamaguchi in the semifinals of the tournament.

Saina had not lost even a single game before this match in the tournament.

This is Okuhara’s fourth win over Saina in 10 encounters, while Saina has defeated her six times.
