India opt to bat first against England in the semis of World T20

Antigua,Nov 23 (IESports) India Women have won the toss and opted to bat first against England at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Friday morning in the semis of the World T20.

India will be looking to erase the memories of a heart-breaking World Cup final defeat last year when
England beat India by nine runs in an exciting final of the 50 over World Cup.

Earlier in the tournament ,India beat two formidable teams in their group -New Zealand by 34 runs and from Australia by 48 runs maintaining an all-win record at the league stage.

Skipper Harmanpreet’s performance will be key to India’s success as she has scored 167 runs from four games at a strike rate of 177 plus so far in the tournament.

India will certainly miss the experience of their veteran Mithali Raj who doesn’t find a place in the team.
