Golden Globe Awards 2020: ‘1971’, ‘Once Upon Hollywood’ rise as top winners

Los Angeles, Jan 6 (IEEntertainment) The 77th edition of Golden Globe Awards on late Sunday night honored the best in film and American television in 2019.
Universal’s epic war film ‘1917’ and Sony’s comedy film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ took home the top prizes at the 77th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night, winning best drama and best comedy, respectively, while Renée Zellweger won best actress for Judy, and Joaquin Phoenix beat out Adam Driver and Christian Bale to win best actor for Joker.
Phoenix in his winning speech referenced climate change, both thanking the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for its meat-free meal, and telling his fellow actors, “We don’t have to take private jets to Palm Springs … I’ll try to do better, and I hope you will too.”
