Congress demands JPC probe into Rafale deal after SC direction to Centre

New Delhi, Oct 31 (IENews) Congress party on Wednesday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP and said its ‘boat of corruption will no longer sail’ as Supreme Court asked the Union government to submit the pricing details of Rafale fighter jet deal and induction of the Indian offset partners.

In a series of tweets, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said that ‘corruption loaded BJP government can no longer remain investigation free.

“The accused can no longer run away from the Joint Parliamentary Committee probe”, he added.

The Congress spokesperson said that the country will now know result of Rafale deal is transparency fail, make in India fail, government PSU fail and employment fail.

“Dear Prime Minister, Please explain to the ‘court of people’, why are you now shying away from JPC investigation? Rafale Scam is now fully ripe for an investigation-no more excuses”, he tweeted.

The Congress spokesperson further said that “this is democracy, not ‘Modi-cracy, here we have people’s power not autocracy and this country is not the BJP office where all the time you are chanting Modi Modi”

Pointing towards the development related to Reserve Bank of India, he said the Modi government first destroyed the functioning of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and now they are trying the same with RBI.

“It seems for you everything is ‘I’, ‘I’ and ‘I’! Come out of this self obsession and stop the assault on India’s Institutions! Let Democracy prevail”, Surjewala tweeted.
