BJP delegation to meet EC on allowing party leaders to campaign in West Bengal

New Delhi, Feb 4 (IECurrentAffairs) The BJP, on Monday, would meet the Election Commission and seek its intervention to ensure that the party leaders, including Union Ministers and state Chief Ministers are allowed to campaign in Mamata Banerjee-ruled West Bengal.

A party delegation comprising Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, S S Ahluwalia and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Kailash Vijayvargiya will point to the poll panel that UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was not allowed to campaign in the eastern state on Sunday.

The BJP leaders have alleged that Yogi Adityanath’s helicopter was not allowed to land in the state.
