Kuala Lumpur, Oct 9 (IESports) The ace badminton player Lee Chong Wei returned to home after spending two months in Taiwan for his nose cancer treatment.
According to a report published in The Straits Times, he had been cleared by his medical team to fly home after a complete treatment for his early-stage cancer.
As expected, he avoided speaking to the media who had been waiting for him at the airport.
Earlier when Lee was asked about his return by the media, he said, ”All of you do not have to wait for me, I need to rest for now and I’ll meet members of the media one day. I don’t want the media to wait for me at the airport, you may go home.”
Social media was buzzed with the shocking news when the world came to know about his cancer.
Lee is one of Malaysia’s top sports celebrity because of his continuous success at the highest levels in badminton’s despite of his only failure to win a world or Olympic title.
