2093 civilians, 1067 security force personnel killed in terrorist violence during UPA regime in J&K

New Delhi: Contrary to the false propaganda being spread on social media regarding a large number of civilians and security forces being killed under the Narendra Modi-government due to its strong stance against dealing with terrorism and terrorists targeting India, RTI documents reveal more civilians, security force personnel and terrorists were killed during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government than the current National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

In a RTI document filed by a concerned citizen from Uttar Pradesh, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs revealed that 2093 civilians and 1067 Security Forces personnel were killed in terrorist violence in the state of Jammu and Kashmir from June 2004 till May 2014 during the nine half years rule of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre.

In the year 2014 to 2019 under the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) governance the RTI documents revealed that 127 civilians and 330 Security Forces personnel were killed in terror-related violence in Jammu and Kashmir in the last four and half years.

Interestingly during the nine and half years UPA governance 4043 terrorists were killed, while in the four and half years of NDA governance 806 terrorists were killed in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
